Stuffed is an American magazine dedicated entirely to handmade softies. My Whale stuffie had a long way to travel, but made the most of his stay, getting a whole page to himself!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2014Sydney Market Wrap-Up
Thursday, December 16th, 2010The Sydney Finders Keepers Market was buzzing! Heaps of people, great vibe, fun decorations, papercrafts for shoppers to get involved making, good music, nice people, and a really unique and never-seen-before selection of stalls. The Finders Keepers selection panel really made a big effort this time to make sure the stalls were new, fresh, and eclectic. It was great.
I debuted a new product at this market; lavender bags. A set of three lavender bags featuring my illustrations, made of organic cotton, natural linen, and glorious smelling Australian farmed lavender. Perfect for hanging in your musty wardrobe, in your drawers, or even in your linen cupboard to make your pillowcases or towels smell super nice.
They all sold out too, but I have more in production, and will be launched in my Etsy shop soon.
New Fabric Products
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010Only a few more sleeps until I pack my little car and head on up to Brisbane for the Finders Keepers Market.
This time I’m very excited to be debuting a range of brand new products.
Library bags:
Ever-so-cute whale stuffies:
And huggy cuddly pillowcases:
Along with my new colouring book, I will also have all of my cards, prints and postcards for sale too. I’m so excited, hope to see you there!
Valentine Hearts
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008What happens when you mix a handful of charity, a couple of tigers, and a pinch of Valentines day?
You get February!
For the second year in a row the Lovely Hearts exhibition was on in America, raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. TigerHug was my contribution this year. Unfortunately the Winter snow was so heavy in New Hampshire that the opening night had to be called off, so sales were down compared to last year but hopefully as the weather brightens up there’ll be more visitors and some healthy funds raised.
Another fun charity event that centred around Valentines Day was the “I Heart Mirabel” show held at Meet Me At Mikes in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I made a small bunch of retro jungle hearts that was displayed in their front window among loads of others. Each donated heart will be for sale from the 8th March for $10, and all profits will go towards the Mirabel Foundation (children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental drug use).
I also finished a tiger in a tea cup for a commissioned illustration for two little boys who, I’m told, love animals. I hope they like tigers. (To view visit the Gallery section of this site).
3, 2, 1, Blastoff!
Tuesday, November 28th, 2006Welcome! It’s nice of you to pop in. This is my new home, soon to house a showcase of all it is that I do. An array of particles, all of them flossy in nature.
New site on the way:
While the busy little critters at flossy-headquarters are knitting together a brilliant new site, let me paint you a picture of what to expect: a portfolio of existing work, as well as a noticeboard of new products and projects, plus a little bit of info about me.
Hopefully the site will be complete and full of goodies in January, so drop back in around then.
Visit the shop:
In the meantime you can visit my ONLINE STORE at Etsy.
Just a couple of hors d’oeuvres to start off with. In the new year expect to see more, more, and even more. Bags, cushions, illustrations and more accessories. If you would like to be notified when new items are added to the store, sign-up to the list.
Remember everything in my store is lovingly handmade by my very own nimble fingers. In fact, Etsy itself is a place where only handmade (and a few vintage) items may be sold. It’s a wonderful place, I spend many hours there… and a fair bit of cash too!
(Note: all costs are in USD. If you’re in Australia and don’t like the idea of currency conversion, please contact me directly to arrange another form of payment).
In store at the moment are a range of Christmas gift tags; ready and waiting to spruce up your gift wrapping this season. See them in store now!
Illustration:
The new site (of growing proportions), will have a totally rock’n portfolio to display some of my illustration work. As a taste of what’s to come you can sample a few here: VIEW GALLERY
Stitches:
There are always little stitchy things coming and going through the store. The (you know, totally amazing) new site will showcase a range of products and creations.
Geez, after all that hype the new site better be good eh? Gulp.
Thanks for stopping by.
flossy.
