About

Self Portrait Photo in GardenHi. You’ve found yourself at the showground of all sorts of watercolour, illustration art, pillowcases, prints, cards, and what-not, eagerly handcrafted by my wee flossy self… Sarah to some, flossy-p to others.

Since the first moment I first saw Boy George’s rainbow of eye shadow (during the Culture Club days – not when he had to pick up junk off the streets), I knew I was in for a life of colour and creativity. You know how some people say they’ve been “creating art since they could hold a pencil”?… Well, my version of that story starts with me clutching an eye shadow applicator! These days I’m all grown up and have learnt restraint in the ways of make-up, now choosing to apply those colours to paper instead.

A while back I relocated from inner city Sydney, to a small coastal town on the mid-north coast. Since the change I find all sorts of critters and nature creeping into my art (sometimes literally).
