Lot Number 2
Monday, January 24th, 2011The first lot for the Art 4 Heart auction (raising money for the QLD Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal), wrapped up over the weekend. And I am astounded, and also very proud to pass on the news that together we raised $2,440!
So far…
Now it’s time for Lot Number 2. Even more artists (including Sarah McNeil, one of my all time favourites), even more lovely art, and another chance to nab yourself something wonderful for your walls this new year, all whilst helping those in need.
Go have a peepsee: Art 4 Heart.
Art 4 Heart
Tuesday, January 18th, 2011In the wake of the terrible floods in Queensland, a bunch of artists have pulled together and donated artworks to help. We’ve created an art auction to raise some much needed funds for the QLD Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. Please go and have a look-see, there is some amazing work up for Auction and it’s for a really good cause. Starts TODAY!
All final bids are paid directly to the official Disaster Relief Appeal, and your receipt of donation is what we use as proof of purchase. So not only are you doing a great deed by donating to help so many people in desperate need, but you also get some amazing art to keep for yourself! Win win, hey?
My donation is a set of 2 prints featuring native birds from my region.
Bidding starts Tuesday 18th January 10:00am – and closes at 5pm on 22nd January. The second auction follows. All items have a starting bid price much lower than normal retail price too, just a little extra incentive.

Sydney Market Wrap-Up
Thursday, December 16th, 2010The Sydney Finders Keepers Market was buzzing! Heaps of people, great vibe, fun decorations, papercrafts for shoppers to get involved making, good music, nice people, and a really unique and never-seen-before selection of stalls. The Finders Keepers selection panel really made a big effort this time to make sure the stalls were new, fresh, and eclectic. It was great.
I debuted a new product at this market; lavender bags. A set of three lavender bags featuring my illustrations, made of organic cotton, natural linen, and glorious smelling Australian farmed lavender. Perfect for hanging in your musty wardrobe, in your drawers, or even in your linen cupboard to make your pillowcases or towels smell super nice.
They all sold out too, but I have more in production, and will be launched in my Etsy shop soon.
Come to Finders Keepers Sydney
Tuesday, November 30th, 2010If you’re looking for somewhere fun to hang out in Sydney this weekend (or do some un-westfield-like Christmas shopping), come along to the Finders Keepers Market. It’s on on Friday night till 10pm, and Saturday till 5pm, (not Sunday though). I’ll be sharing a stall with Benconservato, in the main room at the opposite end to the band. Please come say “hi” if you’re there. 🙂
Brisbane Market Wrap-Up
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010
We had a really really great time at the Brisbane Finders Keepers Market on the weekend. Met some very nice people, had some great conversations, and made friends with other stall holders. The quality of products there was mind-blowingly good, and all round inspiring.
My wombat pillowcase proved to be our hit of the day, selling out in under an hour, and me taking custom orders to make over 50 more! A huge thank-you to everyone who shopped at my stall, and said hello and other nice things. You don’t know how much of an impact that has on someone who spends her days inside her studio with no more than a pencil and a computer. The feedback is invaluable! So thank-you.
Thanks also to the Finders Keepers Crew. You are so professional, seamlessly organised, and supportive. I can’t wait to do it all over again in Sydney in December! See you then.
(Thank-you too to the amazing official photographer Mark Lobo. All of the photos above are his, and you can see more of the day here.)
