If you’re looking for somewhere fun to hang out in Sydney this weekend (or do some un-westfield-like Christmas shopping), come along to the Finders Keepers Market. It’s on on Friday night till 10pm, and Saturday till 5pm, (not Sunday though). I’ll be sharing a stall with Benconservato, in the main room at the opposite end to the band. Please come say “hi” if you’re there. 🙂

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010Wedding Invitation Commission
Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Recently I was commissioned by a lovely couple from Victoria, to paint a commission of them (to be) on their wedding day, and turn it into wedding invitations. I painted the picture for the front (which they get to keep), designed the inside of the cards, and created thank-you cards for them too.
I hope they and their guests love them, and I wish them both a gorgeous wedding day and marriage!
Brisbane Market Wrap-Up
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010
We had a really really great time at the Brisbane Finders Keepers Market on the weekend. Met some very nice people, had some great conversations, and made friends with other stall holders. The quality of products there was mind-blowingly good, and all round inspiring.
My wombat pillowcase proved to be our hit of the day, selling out in under an hour, and me taking custom orders to make over 50 more! A huge thank-you to everyone who shopped at my stall, and said hello and other nice things. You don’t know how much of an impact that has on someone who spends her days inside her studio with no more than a pencil and a computer. The feedback is invaluable! So thank-you.
Thanks also to the Finders Keepers Crew. You are so professional, seamlessly organised, and supportive. I can’t wait to do it all over again in Sydney in December! See you then.
(Thank-you too to the amazing official photographer Mark Lobo. All of the photos above are his, and you can see more of the day here.)
New Fabric Products
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010Only a few more sleeps until I pack my little car and head on up to Brisbane for the Finders Keepers Market.
This time I’m very excited to be debuting a range of brand new products.
Library bags:
Ever-so-cute whale stuffies:
And huggy cuddly pillowcases:
Along with my new colouring book, I will also have all of my cards, prints and postcards for sale too. I’m so excited, hope to see you there!
Brisbane Finders Keepers Market
Sunday, October 24th, 2010Super-dooper busy at the moment preparing to take part in the Finders Keepers Market in Brisbane on the 6th & 7th of November.
I’ll be packing my car to the brim with flossy-things (some brand new products too), and driving up to Brisbane. I’m crazy-excited about it, not only because of how much fun the Sydney Finders Keepers Market was back in May this year, but also because I haven’t been to Brisbane in years and years, and my tall man and I are dying to check out the GOMA.
The markets will be at the Old Museum, Herston, from 10-5pm on Sat and Sun the 6th & 7th of November.
Much more info here.
Please come along and say hi!
Borrowed Suitcase Zine
Sunday, October 24th, 2010I was invited to be part of one of Mel Stringer’s great zines. (Mel is well known for her zines, but probably more recognised for her illustration work in Frankie Magazine).
Borrowed Suitcase is collection of works by a stack of really great zine artists and illustrators from all over the world. It’s out now and can be bought online here for the measly spare-change sum of $4!
Colouring Book
Sunday, October 17th, 2010Earlier in the year I was given the opportunity to create my own colouring book, and it’s now out!
Following the journey of a girl who moves from the city to the country, Lolo Isn’t Lonely Anymore is a story book that you can colour in. With lots of detail and shading to colour over the top of, this style of colouring book is suitable to a wider range of age groups than the standard type.
The book is published and distributed by Lalaland, is available in various book shops, boutiques and toy stores across Australia and New Zealand, and will soon be available to buy online in the Lalaland shop.
I’m so excited about the book, I keep forgetting to mention that Lalaland also released two of my illustrations as prints, and one as one of the large postcards that they are so famous for.
I have placed an order for a stack of the colouring books, so that I may sell them directly too. I’ll let you know when they arrive.

Thursday, August 19th, 2010The Drawgasmic show in Missouri USA looked like it was amazing…
Works (including mine) are still available to buy online for a little bit longer, along with the book.
