Twelve Days Of Christmas
Sunday, November 10th, 2013I have a new line of tea towels out! Christmassy, but in a subtle way, so if you wanted to, you could use them all year round.
Both based on the Christmas carol “Twelve Days of Christmas”. With three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear treeeee.
And a uniquely Australian take on the same carol, featuring birds native to Australia; “three fairy wrens, two peaceful doves, and a king parrot in a pear treeeee!
Deliciously crisp white cotton linen, with a print that rendered the detail SO well. I couldn’t be most pleased with them!
$20 each, available to buy in my Etsy shop, and at the Made With Love Markets on the 1st Dec.
Christmas Reindeer
Sunday, November 10th, 2013Commission for a Derby Doll
Saturday, November 2nd, 2013A new commission in a very different style for me.
A friend commissioned me to do a painting to commemorate her sisters birthday, but as I learned more about her sister I realised my usual doily trees and swooning birds probably weren’t going to be her type of thing. So this vintage movie poster homage to her roller derby persona came about.
Happy Birthday Rainbow Spite!
Made With Love Market
Friday, August 30th, 2013Busy making lots of things to take with me to the Made With Love Market next weekend. If you’re close, pop by!
Poster design by Ginger Kelly Studios.
A Proposal, In An Illustrated World
Saturday, May 4th, 2013In my latest commission I was asked to represent the occasion of when Kelly and Matt became engaged! A day in a park in Broken Hill, sitting on a little hill near a huge fig tree. A moment I’m sure neither of them will ever forget.
(Notice the little hill under the tree that has broken away from the rest of the land? Broken Hill…)
Every single element in the painting is something they mentioned holds significance to them. Which means there’s nothing in there that doesn’t! I love works like this.
Wishing you both wonderful happy days ahead.
Never Never Creek
Tuesday, April 9th, 2013A little while back the kind folk at Lalaland asked me to create a new design for them. So I came up with this sleepy platypus design, titled “Never Never Creek”. Now available as a print from Lalaland.
Once again I converted the design into something bed-worthy!
Platypus pillowcases available in my Etsy shop.
