Welcome.
You are here because you have been given a card from someone in your neighbourhood who appreciates your green thumb. How nice!
They also appreciate that your garden helps the environment. Okay, so you’re not out there chained to an ancient tree in Papua New Guinea, but lets face it, not many of us are. The best most of us can do are small things within our own space, only partially filling the kettle each time you boil it, for example. Or what about:
- Companion planting to keep pests down, reducing the use of pesticides/chemicals
- Change your light bulbs to the swirly energy efficient ones
- Switching off power points when you’re not using them (even a toaster, plugged in but not being used is drawing a small amount of energy)
- Instead of cranking the heater, go get snugly on the coach in one of those slankets, snuggies or sea pelts. Hey, lounge-wear is totally in, okay!
- Try to select items from the supermarket with less plastic packaging.
- Recycle and reuse stuff
- Compost food scraps or feed them to a worm farm in your yard
You know, small, easy things like that.
It doesn’t seem like much, but if we all started adopting these new habits, it will all add up. And that’ll be really really good, don’t you think?
Anyway, back to the point. Thank-you for doing your part, your community appreciates it, really they do, enough to tell you so with a sweet little card.

P.S. If you would like a pack of Happy Happy Garden Cards to deliver yourself, visit the shop, or contact me.
